AI and Automotive Industry
Today, the transportation industry has reached an unprecedented level. There is also no need for human intervention to drive vehicles on the road. Needless to say, technological advances and innovations in artificial intelligence have begun a remarkable journey of vehicle evolution. The innovative automotive industry has started using artificial intelligence. A lot of work has been done in automated vehicles, traffic management, parking. Artificial intelligence-powered drone taxis provide a faster, convenient, and potentially less crowded route.
Thanks to advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, smart driverless vehicles are seen running on the roads. Many concepts of artificial intelligence such as computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, machine human science (robotics), artificial neural networks, natural language processing and large language model have started to be used in the automotive industry. Automatic vehicles have facilities such as weather forecasting, driver safety, navigation, traffic analysis. The use of artificial intelligence in the transportation industry has led vehicles to an automated state. The reason it feels different from a normal vehicle is that a fully vision-based technology is used as it used a well-equipped camera in its autonomous car.
Using artificial intelligence, internet of things sensors, machine learning, cloud computing, big data analytics, and other emerging technologies such as 5G, transportation becomes more efficient, advanced, and secure. At the same time, it provides an opportunity for mutual coordination/connection between vehicles, which is why automatic vehicles are likely to reduce accidents.
Artificial intelligence is being used with the help of sensors to safely transport cargo in non-human cargo ships. These sensors will track the performance of the ship’s engine. The movement of goods will also be done without human labor. Artificial intelligence technology will speed up ship service and reduce the chances of ships being damaged or sunk in bad weather, storms, etc. We can say with certainty that artificial intelligence will dominate the transportation industry in the coming years. It will be interesting to see what this technology brings to the next few years.
Robotic Vehicles
How much fun it would be if we sat comfortably and used our heads in vehicles i.e. using artificial intelligence to take you safely to the right place, at the right speed and time! The automotive industry is poised to welcome you to the world of such exciting robotic vehicles. A robotic car is an artificial intelligence-based autonomous vehicle. It can drive on its own without human intervention. It has advanced features such as lasers, cameras, and sensing equipment. Because of these characteristics, robotic cars are less likely to cause accidents than the average human driver. These trains are directly connected to the Global Positioning System (GPS). With GPS, they can go straight to the destination. Artificial intelligence system-driven robotic smart driving is a great option for the future.
The safest thing about such cars is that they are side-tracked. Therefore, it is a safe option to avoid accidents. These cars have sensor equipment. These sensors help detect objects that are very close. Through artificial intelligence, robotic cars are designed for humanoid actions. So, whenever an object comes too close, the robot car reacts humanly. The reaction will be in the form of moving away or diverting. So, the cars powered by this system are very effective. Smart traffic management basically involves vehicle segmentation, speed monitoring, traffic forecasting, and tracking vehicles through videos. AI solutions enable real-time monitoring of shipments and vehicles, making immediate updates on their status, location, and status.
Thanks to the leading automakers in the automation industry, the production of robotic cars has reached one million. On the other hand, the sales of robotic cars will be approximately 3.23% from 2023 to 2028. Artificial intelligence technology is the epitome of life.
Artificial intelligence technology is playing an important role in every area of life. As a result, many automakers are trying to invest heavily in autonomous vehicles. These autonomous cars are making a huge impact on our society as all companies strive to make a necessary and beneficial difference in smart vehicles.
AI and Autonomous Driving
Driving in the future will not be limited to electrification. The reason you will soon become a passenger rather than a driver will be an “autonomous vehicle”. Autonomous vehicles are also said to be safe.
A driverless car does not put its driver or others at risk in accidents caused by potentially dangerous human behavior or situations such as speeding, reckless driving, drowsiness, distracted driving, or neglect caused by alcohol or drugs. Autonomous vehicles can reduce vehicular congestion on roads as these vehicles can interact with each other and change routes based on traffic, accidents, or construction.
AI plays an important role in predictive maintenance for vehicles and infrastructure. By analyzing historical and real-time data, AI can predict potential problems with vehicles or transportation infrastructure, enabling active maintenance to avoid breakdowns and reduce downtime. This futuristic approach enhances safety and contributes to cost savings for transportation companies. Equipped with Natural Language Processing (NLP) capabilities, AI-powered chatbots can understand and inform customer queries about the car’s features, respond to them, increase customer service efficiency, and even help solve problems.
Will smart vehicles really run entirely on artificial intelligence rather than human intelligence? Maybe not. Both people and artificial intelligence employ very different abilities and strengths. The real question is: How can human intelligence create enhanced intelligence with artificial intelligence? In the same vein, the possibility of large-scale accidents, damage and damage cannot be ruled out by the use of malware viruses or hacking with the help of artificial intelligence.
Conclusion
Artificial intelligence will not completely change the human intelligence used in vehicles. While artificial intelligence can enhance development and increase speed, replicating the cognitive and motor abilities of a human driver are challenging and even in progress. It is true that no matter how many modern technology vehicles are used in the future, it is definitely in the hands of humans to be careful. Even if artificial intelligence is used in vehicles, control remains with human intelligence.
